Recent Events

Saturday November 14th: The Holiday Open Tournament held at Crowder College. Congratulations to the following: Shihan Carrillo who placed first in weapons, first in kata and brought home a Grand Champion Trophy for his division. Evan Cherryholmes who placed first in weapons, first in kata, third in kumite and who also brought home a Grand Champion trophy in his Black Belt youth division. Hailey Neumann who placed first in kumite. Joshua Ames who placed second in kata. Andrew Dodson who placed third in kumite and Austin Burns who placed third in kata. We would like to thank all the parents for their support and attendance. We hope you all had a great experience and we look forward to our next adventure together. Saturday September 26th: The 18th 4 state open tournament at Crowder College. Congratulations to Evan Cherryholmes whom placed 1st in weapons, 2nd in kata and 3rd in kumite. Evan also brought home the Grand Champion trophy from his advanced division. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the dojo during this event.

Saturday September 12th: Carrillo's Shotokan Karate-Do's 1st Annual Dojo Picnic, GREAT DAY!! We would like to thank everyone who attended and for all the great food, we hope all of you had as much fun as we did, (especially with the pinatas). We will see you all next year for our 2nd Annual picnic.  

Saturday August 29th: WOW! What an awesome time we had at Neosho's Summer Social on the Square. A huge THANK YOU, to all of our students and parents that took the time to come and participate. We would like to give Ms. Tammy a huge thank you as well, she stood and made that cotton candy for 6 long hours and we so greatly appreciate that. Everyone did an awesome job during the demo's and we look forward to next year's event. We also need to say Thank You to Neosho Chamber of Commerce for allowing us to participate in this event.

 Saturday August 8th 2009: Shihan Carrillo and Evan Cherryholmes attended the first annual open Pittsburg Tournament, located in Pittsburg Kansas. Shihan Carrillo placed 1st in weapons and 1st in kata. Evan placed 1st in weapons, 2nd in kumite and 4th in kata. Evan brought home the Grand Champion Trophy from his youth black belt division.
